GRN-103 Public Policy and Aging

This course is designed to provide a knowledge base for understanding the history, processes, outcomes and impacts of social policy affecting older Americans. It will examine the political systems and interventions for change in which older Americans participate. Students will obtain a perspective on the magnitude and character of problems facing our aging society. By examining public policies and forces that influence policy making, students will comprehend how the current policies for aging will affect the concerns and retirement in the future.
