MIS-298 E-Commerce Policy and Strategy

This course is designed to provide students with a comprehensive and integrated understanding of e-commerce development from start to finish. The course will cover both technical and management concepts and will allow students to work in groups while they apply their knowledge through hands-on exercises and case projects. Students will experience the relationship that develops between management and software engineering in a business environment as they develop an electronic commerce application. Topics include defining the entrepreneurial process, creating a business, marketing, and financial plan, recognizing the characteristics and role that e-commerce plays in the global market, working with human resources, and developing an e-commerce website.
