ASL-110 Deaf Culture and History

This course provides an overview of the history, language, education, and culture of persons who are diagnosed as deaf and hard of hearing. Topics covered will include types of hearing loss, history and significant figures in the deaf community, deaf education, legislation, autism, deaf culture, and cultural norms. Fee is required.
