REC-102 Older Adult Recreation and Wellness
This course will focus on theoretical and practical issues encountered in serving the specific population of older adults in a variety of recreation and health fitness settings. Topics addressed include attitudes and prejudices toward aging, societal norms related to aging, physical differences in normal and abnormal aging, aging and mental health issues, the dynamics of dementia, and issues relating to death and dying.
