AUT-127 Intro to Alternative Fuels
This course will address the need in the 21st century for alternative light-duty vehicles, their powerplants, and the energy sources used to propel them. Alternative fuel systems will be discussed as well as their advantages, disadvantages, and impact on passenger safety and the environment. Also included will be a discussion of some of the hybrid vehicles currently in use and the fuel cell as a means of replacing the internal combustion engine for generating electricity.
